Robert Hawk represents business owners, contractors, design professionals, and insurance companies in civil litigation and insurance coverage matters.  Robert focuses on the following practices areas: construction defect, insurance coverage, general liability, complex litigation and professional liability.  Robert also assists business owners and individuals with contract and business negotiations.

Robert serves as an Ambassador for the South Carolina Bar Foundation and previously served on the Charleston County Bar Executive Committee, as a Roper St. Francis Foundation Fellow and on the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division Habitat for Humanity Wills Committee.  He was a member of Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Charleston Class of 2012.

Prior to law school, Robert served in the United States Peace Corps as a Small Business Development Advisor in Nicaragua.

Robert is a frequent writer and speaker on issues related to professional liability and construction defects and was recently a guest speaker at the South Carolina Engineering Conference and the Charleston Building Enclosure Council.  Robert was named a South Carolina Rising Star® by Super Lawyers® in 2016.

Robert attended Davidson College where he received a degree in Economics. He received his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
