James is an Associate Attorney at Ethridge Law Group. His practice focuses on general civil litigation, including construction defect litigation, personal injury and insurance defense.

James is a South Carolina native and grew up in the Upstate of South Carolina. James graduated from the College of Charleston with a double Bachelors degree in Political Science and Philosophy. He attended law school at Charleston School of Law, graduating Summa Cum Laude after finishing ranked in the Top 5 of his class. During law school, James was a selected for membership in the Presidential Honor Society, as an Academic Success Fellow, the Trial Advocacy Board and the Moot Court Board. James earned an award as the second-best advocate in a National Admiralty Moot Court Competition. While in law school, James earned multiple CALI Awards (for highest grade in the course) in Criminal Procedure, Property, Constitutional Law and Commercial Law.

James is admitted to the South Carolina Supreme Court, United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. When not in the office, James enjoys taking his dog out on the boat and watching Clemson football.
